Maintenance Technician

Two well-established hotels in Cape Town are looking for a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep both properties in good working order. This is a single role covering both locations, so you'll split your time between the two sites as needed. You'll be the go-to person for day-to-day maintenance across both hotels, handling everything from general repairs and upkeep to responding quickly when something needs fixing. The properties rely on you to make sure rooms, common areas, and back-of-house spaces are all kept in a safe and presentable condition.

Key Responsibilities: - General repairs and maintenance across both hotel properties. - Attending to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks as they arise. - Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance checks. - Responding promptly to maintenance requests from management and staff. - Ensuring all equipment and facilities are in good working order. - Reporting major faults or safety concerns to management. - Maintaining a log of work completed and parts used. - Liaising with external contractors when specialist work is required. * What We're Looking For: -Minimum 2 years experience in a maintenance or handyman role, preferably within hospitality. - Solid general maintenance skills across plumbing, electrical, and carpentry. - Ability to work independently and manage your time across two sites. - Reliable, presentable, and solutions-focused. - Valid driver's licence preferred (travel between properties required). - Ability to work occasional weekends or respond to after-hours call-outs when needed. - Trade qualification is advantageous but not essential. * Salary: Market-related, negotiable based on experience.
