General Manager

An upmarket hotel in Cape Town is looking for a seasoned General Manager to take full ownership of the property's day-to-day operations. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will oversee all departments including rooms, food and beverage, events and housekeeping, while driving revenue targets and maintaining exceptional guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will bring a strong natural ability to lead and develop teams, and a genuine passion for delivering memorable guest experiences at every touchpoint.

-Minimum 5 years experience in a senior hotel management role Tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management or similar -Proven ability to manage budgets, P&L and forecasting Strong leadership with experience managing multi-department teams Solid understanding of hotel operations including rooms, F&B and events -Experience with property management systems (PILOT or similar) -Excellent guest relations and complaint resolution skills Ability to drive revenue while maintaining service standards -Strong communication skills at both floor and boardroom level -Valid South African ID or valid work permit
