Refund & Cancellation Policy
Full Refund Scenarios
We'll refund 100% of your booking cost if:
No-show – Staff member doesn't arrive at your venue or if we do not find a replacement immediately.
Unacceptable conduct – Staff arrives intoxicated, behaves unprofessionally, or creates a hostile environment
Theft or serious misconduct – Any verified incident of theft, harassment, or breach of trust
Partial Refunds
Late arrivals: If your staff member arrives late, you'll receive a prorated refund for the time lost. For example, if someone is 60 minutes late for a 4-hour shift, you'll get a 25% refund upon request.
Business Cancellations
We protect workers who've committed to your shift. When staff accept your booking, they're turning down other opportunities and planning their day around you.
If you need to cancel after a staff member has accepted your shift, here's our refund structure:
7+ days notice – 80% refund
2-7 days notice – 70% refund
24-48 hours notice – 60% refund
Under 24 hours – 50% refund
Under 1 hour or after shift start – No refund
Transaction fees are non-refundable in all cancellation scenarios, they are also not apart of the percentages above, the percentages above is from the staff’s rates, this non-refunded percentage will be for staff compensation.

1. In-Person Interviews – Cape Town-based candidates meet with our team face-to-face. Our interviewers have real hospitality industry experience and know what to look for. We assess communication skills, presentation, professionalism, and ability to handle pressure.
2. Work Authorization – We verify legal right to work in South Africa, ensuring full compliance with labour regulations.
3. Identity Verification – Government-issued ID confirmation and background checks for your venue's security.
4. Work History Verification – We contact previous employers and verify hospitality experience, checking references and track record.
5. Skills & Experience Assessment – Our industry-experienced team evaluates each candidate's capabilities through detailed questioning about their work history, technical knowledge, and problem-solving approach. We can spot the difference between someone who's worked a busy dinner service and someone who hasn't.

Our rates are the staff hourly rates and does not include the platform fee.
Standard accounts have a 30 % transaction fee, premium users enjoy a 8% fee and more benefits.

Chefs = Commis: R 40 ; Chef De Partie: R 60 ; Senior: R 100
